Blocked Caller Voicemail Access

I had been of the understanding that when blocked, the caller just heard the phone ring and nothing else. So after reading your response I had to check and test with my home phone. You are correct, the call goes directly to voicemail, they hear your greeting and can leave a voicemail. You are not notified of the voicemail, but if you check your Visual Voicemail list, it is there as Blocked Voicemail. You can still listen to the voicemail if you wish. I believe this is different from what it was in the earlier iOS call blocking. Thank you for getting me to look.

All blocked calls will be directed to your voicemail, and though the person will be able to hear your personalized voicemail greeting and leave a voicemessage as well, but you would never receive a notification for either call or voice message from that number.

They shouldn't be directed to voicemail at all.

Well, I tested mine rather quickly while reading/writing your post. It may have been because I didn't give it time to disappear. I'm using iOS 10.0.2 on an iPhone 6S with AT&T.
